G is for Grifter

My Wildstorm character for the letter G is Grifter:
Cole Cash was a member of Team 7 along with Michael Cray (Deathblow), Jackson Dane (leader of Wetworks), John Lynch (mentor to Gen13), Marc Slayton (Backlash), Phillip Chang (father of Gen13's Grunge), Alexander Fairchild (father of Gen13's Fairchild and Freefall), and Stephen Callahan (father of Gen13's Rainmaker). On a mission under the authority of Miles Craven, Team 7 was introduced to the Gen Factor, which gave them all telekinetic and telepathic abilities. Some members such as Cray obtained weaker abilities than the rest, but among the strongest was Cash. As time wore on, Team 7 disbanded and Cole's powers began to become weaker. Using his training with weapons, he joined up with the Wildcats, becoming their resident loose cannon. During this time he also built a strong relationship with teammate Zealot. After her death, Grifter left the team, but was recruited once again when it became apparent that they would need all the help they could get in defeating a not-so-new threat by the name of Kenyan. At the request of Grifter's long-time friend and Wildcats leader Lord Emp on his death bed, Cole remained on the team when most others had abandoned the cause. Recently discovering that Zealot was in fact alive, the two of them led the charge against the Coda, a group of female assassins that Zealot began, and of which Grifter was the only male member of. Succeeding in ending this threat, Grifter most recently aided sleeper agent Jack Carver and old colleague John Lynch in ending the tyrannical super-powered-mob reign of former Wildcats member, traitor, and evil mastermind Tao.

Wildstorm Comics A-Z
I know I'm stealing this idea from someone here on deviantArt, but I'll be damned if I remember who. The concept is that I plan to draw 26 sketches, each of a character from the "classic" Wildstorm universe, and each beginning with the next sequential letter of the alphabet, starting (of course) with A. What I mean by "classic" is that I only intend to use characters who are a part of the superhero corner of the Wildstorm universe from the days of old (in other words, they'll all have some connection to the kherubim, daemonites, or Team 7).

Joining me on this quest is my close drawing buddy , so you should check out his progress as well. We've compiled a list of characters large enough that we won't ever be drawing the same character for any given letter. This is just an exercise, after all, and not a contest.
