SP Sketch 7 - Punk Stormby ~rianmiller

Every week over at the Stock*Pile Work Blog [link] ~jessemunoz, ~GreenSkyZero, ~kansatron, and myself sketch a pre-determined subject. This week Jesse chose Punk Storm.

I was planning to draw a picture much closer to the other Punk Storm you can find in my gallery from a few years ago, but after seeing Jesse and Joel's entries this week I decided to stray from the "full figure in the center of the image with perhaps some lightning" route, which both of them had already done better than I probably could. Hopefully my last minute change of heart led to a more striking design. I wanted to color this, but I honestly couldn't be bothered considering that I finished the inks at around 6am. Maybe I'll post a second version when I'm not on the verge of slumber.

This is great! And it nicely displays how Storm's punk thing was nothing more then fashion. If she had acted like this I might still be reading the series.

Thanks, John. It definitely felt wrong to draw Storm acting so racy, but it just seemed like a fun idea to put the "punk" in "Punk Storm".
